First the arithmetic - Warisan has revealed that Brader Anwar was able to get only 88 MPs on his side. It was Dr Mahathir and Warisan who supported Brader to make his count go up to 102. So if Warisan and Dr Mahathir pull their support for Brader, his numbers will go back to 88 MPs only.
“They thought the 105 MP votes (for Anwar) were solely PH’s but in reality they had only 88 but were working with other opposition parties, including Warisan, to produce 105 votes … even Dr Mahathir Mohamad supported him.”
This means Dr Mahathir and Warisan now control Brader's fate.
The YDP Agong said there should still be a vote of confidence when Parliament convenes on the 6th September, 2021.
Dr Mahathir says there is no need for a vote of confidence. So who is going against the titah of the YDP Agong now?
On the other hand Tengku Razaleigh says that a vote of confidence should be held to determine if Ismail Sabri really has the numbers.
Now Guan Eng has signed that Keluarga Malaysia document with Ismail Sabri. To what effect? Previously Muhyiddin invited the DAP to support him in exchange for real policy changes like limiting the tenure of the PM to two terms. That would benefit the people tremendously. But Guan Eng did not take up Muhyiddin's offer to effect real change for the people.
So now Guan Eng can work with an UMNO Prime Minister. Why not work with them earlier?
Instead now Guan Eng has signed a 'Keluarga Malaysia' piece of paper with an UMNO Prime Minister who has only 114 MPs on his side. What exacly is Keluarga Malaysia? Is it another version of 1 Malaysia (Satu Malaysia)?
Can I make it simpler ? Can you reduce the damned tolls? Can you reduce the price of cars in Malaysia? Our car prices are among the highest in the world. Why? On a Purchasing Power Parity basis Singapore car prices are more affordable for Singaporeans than in Malaysia. Two years average salary in Singapore can purchase a car. In Malaysia it is three years average salary.
Satu Malaysia did not reduce tolls or reduce car prices. That is also why they got kicked out. Now 'Keluarga Malaysia' is set to suffer the same fate.
Guan Eng has been conned. Ismail Sabri has also been outsmarted.
Sabri takes instructions from his party president Zahid Hamidi - who is a total dud and also up to his neck (literally) in facing criminal charges in Court.
Zahid in turn has expressed his love and admiration for Brader Anwar - another total dud. The hope is that if Brader becomes the PM - the pressure on Zahid's neck can be different.
(Chinese people - you can understand this very well. Then why do you support Brader Anwar? Chinese people also bodoh ah.)
But without Dr Mahathir and Warisan's support, then Brader Anwar will be back to 88 MPs on his side.
So now you know why Dr Mahathir DOES NOT WANT a vote of confidence on 6th September - because he will be forced to vote against Brader Anwar. His hand will be exposed. Because Dr Mahathir will never agree to Brader as PM (Thank you Tun - here we are still on the same page.)
Ismail Sabri is also hanging by the skin of his teeth. Out of that 114 MPs who supported him, Sabri has only 31 UMNO MPs on his side.
On the other hand Tan Sri Muhyiddin's Bersatu has 38 MPs who supported Ismail Sabri. If Bersatu pulls out their support then Ismail Sabri is toast. So Ismail Sabri's fate as PM is under the control of Bersatu. Muhyiddin Yassin still calls the shots.
And out of those 31 UMNO MPs "with" Ismail Sabri, at least 20 are with Hishamuddin Hussein Onn who is a friendly party to Muhyiddin Yassin.
- So now you have a situation where Brader Anwar depends on Dr Mahathir and Warisan for his survival.
- And Ismail Sabri depends on Muhyiddin Yassin for his survival.
What if Muhyiddin Yassin and Dr Mahathir are actually working together?
And now Guan Eng has signed that 'Keluarga Malaysia' with Ismail Sabri?
I dont think the Chinese voters are very happy that the DAP has signed this paper with an Umno Prime Minister.
The DAP should have signed with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who made a real offer earlier.
So far I have not said much about the new PM. I know him too well. Once upon a time a group of us met him and scolded him over some dick policy to force school bus operators to change their old buses within six months!! After that he withdrew his "arahan". I also knew a detestable fellow who was his 'kaki buddy' in their younger days. That detestable fellow has since died. Less said the better.
So how long will this PM last?
