PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 192 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.
Of the total, 47 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 26,335.
Most of the fatalities were recorded in Sarawak with 40 deaths, followed by Perak (23), Penang (21), Sabah (20), Selangor (18), Kedah (nine), Melaka and Perlis (four each) and Kelantan and Pahang (one each).
There were no deaths reported in Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 164,536 active cases, including 924 in intensive care units (ICU), 510 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 17,725 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,245,695. - FMT
