A spokesperson for the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) said the programme was a collaboration with Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor and sponsoring partners Worldwide Holdings and Starvillon.
He said the Ziarah Ramadan programme was a platform for both companies to carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) by distributing zakat and aid to asnaf groups and communities in need.
"The community in the Hulu Selangor district was selected this year as recipients of the aid. The distribution of donations has had a great impact on the community.
"Four asnaf families, 40 residents and five caretakers of the selected Ar-Rahmaniah Welfare Organisation received the assistance.
"A donation of 10 wheelchairs was also given to the Selangor Ex-Police Association," he added.
Also present yesterday were the Orang Besar of Hulu Selangor District, Raja Muzaffar Raja Redzwa; Hulu Selangor Municipal Council chairman Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd; Hulu Selangor District Officer Mohamad Hanafe Basri and Hulu Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim. - NST
