PETALING JAYA: Netizens have taken to Twitter to complain after an hours-long delay on the Kajang MRT line.
In a tweet at 7.22pm, Rapid KL said that the Kajang MRT line was experiencing a delay due to low hydraulic pressure at a train at the Maluri station.
Apologising for the inconvenience, it said that services were currently being restored.
“Is this the same problem from the other day? Hasn’t it been settled yet?” asked @RoadQuery.
Another netizen, with the handle @tyunfm, said the announcements to commuters at the Pasar Seni platform were inaudible.
“Are you making an announcement or are you talking to yourself?” asked the Twitter user.
“Why are you making our return home so difficult?” asked another netizen with the handle @sewjianhao.
At 7.38pm, Rapid KL said that alternative train services had been activated, with trains from Kwasa Damansara to end at Maluri and trains to operate from Maluri to Taman Mutiara. It also said that trains from Taman Mutiara will end at Kajang.
At 8.27pm, it said that trains from Kwasa Damansara will turn back at Muzium Negara and trains from Cochrane will turn back to Kajang. It also said that trains will operate from Muzium Negara to Merdeka, and from Merdeka to Cochrane.
“Is it ok now or not? Can we take the MRT directly from Pasar Seni to Kajang or not?” asked @WanAFaris
“The staff at the counter said we can, but the staff on the train say we have to take an alternative route. What’s going on? Don’t waste people’s time.”
The alternative routes did not seem to go down well with netizens, with @thomazdankenjin asking: “What kind of a train puzzle or maze arrangement is this?”
“RapidKL wants us all to go on a treasure hunt,” quipped @KhidirHanif. - FMT
