Khairy Jamaluddin has slammed DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang over the latter's "cleansing" of "new best friend" Umno.
The former Umno Youth chief was referring to Lim's statement that he was "stunned and shocked" over the discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) granted to Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in the Yayasan Akalbudi case.
"Is this all he can say? If you read his full statement, there is only a one-liner about the DNAA issue.
"Stunned. Shocked. That's all. Is that it? You have had so much to say about everything throughout your career, and you are now reduced to this?" asked the former minister in a Facebook post today.
In his statement, Lim also slammed Perikatan Nasional for allegedly causing division among the rakyat, and Khairy took offence to this.
"It's excellent how far Lim is going to 'cleanse' DAP's new BFF (best friend forever)," Khairy quipped.
On Young Syefura
In a separate Facebook post, Khairy also took a jab at Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman for justifying Pakatan Harapan working with former enemy Umno at the federal level, as well as several states.
He shared the screenshot of a Sinar Harian article in which the DAP leader said she wants to change the youths' perception to see that the country's politics today is dynamic because two former foes are working together.
As the caption to the post, Khairy wrote the first half of a famous Malay poem which goes: "Siakap senohong gelama ikan duri", and urged netizens to complete the remainder.
The second half of the poem goes: "Bercakap bohong, lama-lama mencuri", which translates into "It starts with lying, and ends up in stealing."
