“ARE you guys inviting divine wrath from God? While female artists and social media influencers are getting more eager to display their ‘assets’, their male counterparts are simply proud to show off female characteristics!”
Such was the observation by PAS Youth deputy chief Hanif Jamaluddin as he berated Malaysia for getting more prone to normalise the trend of men wearing make-up and dressing up like a woman.
“The trend which violates the law seems to be normalised by Muslims while the dressing aspect of women which exposes the aurat (parts of a woman’s body that should be covered) are overly flashy especially among the artist,” lamented Hanif in a TikTok video.
@pemudapasmalaysia Malaysia semakin menormalisasikan lelaki berpakaian seperti wanita. Manakala, wanita Muslim semakin berpakaian mencolok mata melanggar syariat agama. Dengar pesanan Ustaz Hanif Jamaluddin, Naib Ketua Pemuda PAS Malaysia mengenai ini. #PemudaPAS #GenerasiSejahtera
“In Islam, the holy prophet despises men who possess female disposition or women who behave like men. This is haram and is a big sin because all men are created with strength and bravery while women are created with softness.
“Such nature is fixed by Allah and ought to be accepted by all Muslims … if such nature is violated, we dread that God will punish their actions by sending more catastrophes to this world of ours.”
Hanif who contested for the Sungai Tua state assembly seat against Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari during the 2023 six states election was commenting on a TikTok post by Muiz Nazmi (@muiznazmii) about the rise in the number of male social media influencers who wear make-up.
@muiznazmii Aku ke sebenarnya pelik? Memang tak normal kan benda ni?
“I noticed that there’s a rise in the number of men who wear make-up and dress more and more like a woman. The second thing I noticed is that these influencers are getting more and more popular,” observed the content creator and product reviewer.
“I can say that every day I scroll (social media) I see something new. Are we more and more inclined to accept this group of people? As they feel that they’re more and more accepted (by the society), the more they think that it’s fine to go out in that manner.”
Elaborating further, Hanif who is also a preacher delved on the story of Prophet Lut/Lot who was despised by Allah till a major catastrophe befell him and his followers due to their perverse cultural practices.
“My friends, we only live in this world for a short spell in search of pahala (good deeds) for us to pursue our final destination,” he advised.
“Therefore, is a sheer waste if we spend this short opportunity span to win human attention; this is a big loss to ourselves, hence do repent by returning to our Creator and the authorities who are fulfilling their responsibilities to eradicate behaviours which violate the religious laws.
“Don’t let such inappropriate behaviours become a norm when it is deemed as something which is awkward and need to be prevented soonest.” – Focus Malaysia
