A total of 11 areas recorded API readings of between 101 and 200, an increase from nine yesterday.

KUCHING: A total of 11 areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy air pollutant index (API) readings this morning, an increase from nine areas reported yesterday.
The affected areas are Serian (189), Samarahan (170), Kuching (166), Bintulu (159), Samalaju (156), Mukah (154), Sibu (154), Sarikei (153), Sri Aman (152), Miri (137) and the Miri Industrial Training Institute (116).
An API reading of zero to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and above 300 hazardous.
API data is updated hourly based on readings from 68 air quality monitoring stations nationwide. - FMT
