Police seek public help to ID body of woman found in suitcase

 Fingerprint checks have found no matching record.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the body of a woman found in a suitcase in Sungai Perak near Jeti Lembah in Kuala Kangsar last Friday as fingerprint checks found no matching record.

Kuala Kangsar district police chief Heisham Harun said efforts to identify the victim were also made through the Perak National Registration Department, but no matching record was found of her thumbprint there, either.

He said a dental examination indicated that the woman was in her 30s. She was 154cm tall, weighed about 48kg, and had a tanned complexion and shoulder-length black hair.

“When found, she was wearing a long-sleeved black-and-white striped shirt, black jeans and earrings.

“We hope these physical characteristics and items of clothing will help members of the public identify the victim,” he said in a statement. - FMT
