Did Rais Yatim Rape His Indonesian Maid Or Not?

Did Malaysian Communications and Culture Minister Rais Yatim rape his Indonesian Maid named Rubingah in 2007? Or was it a political move to get rid of Rais from the cabinet and kill his political career? It is rather strange that it is pro-BN Bloggers like Rocky Bru and Big Dog Com who are going after Rais Yatim's blood. Rocky's Bru, written by Ahirudin Bin Attan, President of the National Press Club of Malaysia. Rocky's Bru historically has been closely aligned with former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. It appears that there is a great power struggle within the ranks of Umno. This makes sense as to why the BN controlled mainstream media has been going on an overdrive to 'Demonize' the Opposition Pakatan Rakyat through it's Spin masters like Baradan Kuppusamy, Joceline Tan, Wong Chun Wai et al and also have roped in half-baked analysts such as Universiti Sains Malaysia Professor Sivamurugan Pandian to distract the Rakyat (People) from Umno's serious power struggle.

Two Indonesian agencies, one a government body and the other an NGO, are offering opposing stories on whether Rubingah was raped by Malaysian Communications and Culture Minister Rais Yatim in 2007. Jumhur Hidayat, chairman of the National Board for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Overseas Workers, said Friday in Jakarta that the maid had delivered a written statement to four of the board's personnel in central Java that she had never been raped and that she had been treated well in Rais's home. Interestingly, Anis Hidayah, the director of Migrant Care, an Indonesian NGO, said Rubingah had reported in 2007 that she had indeed been raped and that a report had been filed with the Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur and the Indonesian National Police. Anis Hidayah said Rubingah had claimed at the time that she had been raped. Read more here
