Think Malaysians, think: GE-13 is at hand

The road ahead in Malaysia is indeed extremely bumpy. With each passing day, the nation is getting closer to its 13th opportunity to choose a route for a future although the date for making that choice is a deep seated, well guarded secrecy.

Today, like never before we see two goliath forces emerging. On the one extreme we have BN with UMNO as the henchman; and on the other extreme we have a coalition of parties whose majority membership count come from PAS, DAP and PKR. PR as they are called, have made great effort to synchronise their differences in order to give Malaysians a viable option.

Between these two pendelum swings are several emerging liliputans or the in-between parties. Some may call them the fall-outs. Others will group them as lone rangers, or spinter-groups, or whatever.

Now, Malaysians have to deciede for themselves what they want for themselves for the next five years. If the dream is to give the half-century political party that formed the government a skip, then cut the in-betweens and give the opposition coalition a chance.

For a nation of 28 million with hardly a third who form the voting group, it will not serve any one any good to have so many in-between poliical parties.

Put aside your personal philosophies. Focus on the way forward. Think who is your dissapointment and put your bets on the alternative choice. That way, you would helped the nation to move forward.

Yes for some that may be a choice of between the devil and the deep blue sea. But what good are in-betweens who cannot form an island?

If you think BN is the best servant so be it. If you think BN has failed you then let the team opposing BN to take the wind out of BN's sail.

If the current opposition comes to power but fails to perform you have twelve months to each calender year to level your displeasure.

Think Malaysians think. Having a fragmented win of all kinds of independents and small time parties is not going to help Malaysians to make decisive change - a change that makes a clean and clear difference that we can count on for another five years.

If you think BN is the best bet, so be it. If you think PR is a better option, why not. But if we get too many individuals and groupings throwing in their two-cents worth to milk the 13th GE, it is eventually going to fray the route ahead.

The rationale is simply this: the raging battle that is to be fought is about either keeping the half-century BN or bringing in the PR to lead the nation. Anything in-between will only turn the tides murky.

So think Malaysians, think. Put aside personal agendas. Forget about your philosophical moulds. Choose between the two goliaths - BN or PR and vote with your head.

Otherwise we would have redduced ourselves to being mere slaves for another five years. Let us stay matured. Let us keep our heads above the tides that surley will be more choppy with each passing day. Let a common cause be the inspiration and motivation for change.

And if we can do it we would have brought in refreshing and new meaning to the contaminated 'Malaysia Boleh' slogan.
