Kgen: No degraded sperm despite the long interval, no explanation of contamination, no evidence as to where the DNA came from (sperm, blood, saliva?) and proper procedures not followed.
Even the dates for the DNA samples were wrong. Investigating officer Jude Pereira opened the sealed samples for reasons best known to himself. The DNA 'evidence' is so compromised that it should be thrown out in a real court.
If the prosecution cannot prove that Anwar's DNA was obtained from sperm, the whole DNA 'evidence' can be thrown out. It is easy to get his DNA from other sources, like hair, skin, saliva or blood.
Anwar was intentionally kept in a police lock-up overnight. In the morning, he was asked a few perfunctory questions and released. There was no need to hold him overnight at all. But after that, a forensic team went in to sweep the cell.
No witness has ever identified Male Y as Anwar. It was only the prosecution claiming that after Seah's testimony. This is fundamentally wrong in procedure. Whether Male Y is Anwar or not must be from the mouth of witnesses, it cannot be from the prosecution claiming so.
FairMind: The alleged fabricators assumed that: Anwar Ibrahim's DNA + sperm = Anwar's sperm. That perhaps explains why no tests were done to confirm that the DNA came from Anwar's sperm cells and why the complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's sperm was allegedly found high up in his own anus.
Since they could not fabricate Anwar's sperm, the next best thing to do is to mix Anwar's DNA (from saliva, blood, skin, etc) with Saiful's sperm and inject it into Saiful's anus and then change the date of the label of the evidence to two days later to make it more believable.
The third person's DNA found in Saiful's anus could well be the person who insert Saiful's sperm mixture into his anus.
No doctor would ever make the mistake of the wrong date found on the label and furthermore, it is impossible that there is no degradation of what they alleged to be Anwar's sperm in spite of being stored in a terrible condition for over six days.
Yap CS: Australian DNA expert Dr Brian McDonald is very impartial. In fact, looking at these results, one can safely conclude that:
1. They couldn't get fresh blood from Anwar so they had to use his sample from the first sodomy trial. The sample is probably highly degraded thus the long time before Saiful went for examination and the 'mistake' in storage to make a degraded sample consistent;
2. They needed sperm, so they got Saiful to produce some and inject into his anus. Thus, the mixture of DNA in the rectal swabs;
3. They were obviously not careful enough so someone's DNA get to Saiful perianal area. Unfortunately Saiful had to say he did not defecate for two day. How can they explain now?
The only conclusion is that all the evidence actually support the theory of conspiracy to nail Anwar.
Bluemountains: The DNA of Male Y (supposedly Anwar's) was taken from the towel, toothbrush, water bottle or hair after he was detained in the lock-up overnight. The sperm is Saiful's own.
Both were mixed and then injected into Saiful's anus in the hotel room. The DNA of the other person must have come from the police officer who did the injection of the mixture into Saiful's anus in the hotel room.
DNA: Chemist Dr Seah Lay Hong and Nor Aidora Saedon are no match to Dr Brian McDonald. Solicitor-general II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden as usual will have to consult his superiors on the next move.
For goodness' sake, I hope the prosecution stops playing games. If you want to belittle someone, this is not the way. Shame on BN-Umno government for wasting taxpayers' money on this stupid case.
Anwar declines comment on 'new' video claims
YF: Umno still doesn't get it. The people are voting for Pakatan Rakyat not because of Anwar, the people are voting for Pakatan because they are fed up with a corrupt Umno.
So Umno can waste all the money and effort it wants to discredit Anwar, but it's not going to change the people's negative view of the ruling party, period.
Kgen: Can Umno only fight with gutter politics instead of real issues? The people are sick of Umno hypocrites using sex and sodomy to pull down opposition politicians.
If they are so moral, why haven't they gone after MCA president Chua Soi Lek? Why hasn't the attorney-general prosecuted Chua for oral sex, which is as much a crime as sodomy?
Enough is enough, we are not impressed with this latest video. Even if Anwar did visit a prostitute, his private life is of no concern to me.
