Maid To Order

The Indonesian maid issue is getting everyone, well at least those who need maids and those who wanted to make political mileage out of it, fazed up.

One isn't sure who is telling the truth when the two leaders met to resolve the maid issue. BolehLand or rather 1Malaysia has said.

Whatever it is, it may sound ridiculous to pay according to the type of specialty one is trained. It's like you get charged for extras when you order your yong tau foo.

So in this case it's a Maid to Order proposal. You pay what you order right? So is the maid asking for something too much?

We want to be a developed nation but we don't have to respect human rights! Why are we treating like the Indonesian government is like a trade union, specifying what their people are permissible to do and what the remuneration is - when we are cowed by the unions in our organisation or the country?

But then, we sulk and take it grudgingly when those legal eagles charge us for every thing they use, from calling you, to using their fax or email, to using stapler and paper clip. Now are these worst than sharks. The poor sharks are only target for one of its part, the fins. Our legal eagles 'tembak' us every page of the legal document and service they give. And we complain we need to pay for more than one service the maid do for us eh?

What about the government taxing us till we have to line up for BRIM or at KR1M? We pay taxes like hell and if you are in an opposition area you don't even get the services compared to those rural folks who may hardly pay a sen but get millions pumped into their constituency. Even if the urban taxpayer in opposition controlled states like Selangor and Kuala Lumpur pay the majority of taxes, they are still hit by toll charges with the supposedly money being given back to development by the 'satu lagi project kerajaan BN' boast!

So who are we kidding by trying to blame the Indonesian government for being unfair. Seriously ask 10 persons employing Indonesian maids honestly if they overwork their maids, they'd try and foist the matter apart and use all kinds of inhumane and against one's religion argument that these people are poor and they deserve servile (pun intended) rewards.

If you want to pay peanuts, be prepared for monkey tricks up one's sleeve right?

We are a complaining lot! With so many supposedly millions illegal fellows here, this land is still a land of milk and honey to these poor souls. The sad thing is we are taking every opportunity to 'milk these poor souls' and then declare to the whole world we are a holy and developed nation and people huh?

If we are unwilling to pay for the extra orders, pun intended, we ask our maids to do, then we'd have to like cook our own food and do things ourselves right? After all, beggars are not choosers! If we don't want to be made to feel like beggars, look elsewhere we can supposed, huh?  - YAHMEH!!!
