Shahnaz, don't let the Taibs get off the hook, again

VOXPOP 'By taking this so-called easy way out, the suspicion and disbelief about the family's assets will continue to smoulder and fester.'

Taib's son offers out-of-court settlement

vox populi small thumbnailNot Confused: Oh, how convenient. Now Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib, the son of the Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud, won't have to list all his assets and show just exactly how much he has benefitted from the alleged corrupt practices of the entire family.

Now isn't that a surprise? The problem is, by taking this so-called easy way out, the suspicion and disbelief about the family's assets will continue to smoulder and fester.

It's actually good news for the opposition which can continue to make hay while the sun shines. They will all get their just deserts - just be patient a little longer.

Ksn: Shahnaz A Majid should double her claim to RM800 million and she will get it without any hassle. The reason is because her ex-husband dares not declare his assets.

When are the robbers of Malaysia - and there are quite a number of them, along with their families - going to be exposed and punished for their ill-gotten wealth at the expense of the country, her people, especially the poor?

I am an optimist and therefore that wish and prayer will come true, sooner or later - the sooner, the better for all.

Malaysia ABU: Ask the son of Taib to declare assets? This is like asking him to wash his dirty linen in public. He would rather pay an extravagant sum to settle the case out of court.

Fencesitter: Shahnaz, be strong despite been physically and emotionally abused. Think carefully what you want from Bekir, now he seem to be a little worried after being ordered by the court to declare his assets.

Bekir might have been big, strong and powerful but now he feel small.

Anonymous_3e79: For the sake of the nation, please reject the offer and proceed to demand that he declare his assets.  - Malaysiakini
