Najib VENDETTA against Anwar: RM3bil allegation baseless, unsupported by evidence

Najib VENDETTA against Anwar: RM3bil allegation baseless, unsupported by evidence
I refer to the NST front page report earlier this week relating to the false allegations against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on the RM 3 billion monies claim. It is reported that Anwar had ordered former ACA director of investigations Abdul Razak Idris to make a Statutory Declaration clearing him of the allegations.
The UMNO-owned newspaper has once again made false suggestions and insinuations against Anwar without producing any real evidence against him. The SD was made voluntarily under oath by the former ACA director Abdul Razak Idris in 2009. It is plainly absurd and utterly irresponsible for the NST to suggest that in 2009 Anwar had somehow compelled Abdul Razak Idris to make the SD.
In fact today's NST report admits that no charges were brought against Anwar because there was no evidence against him to sustain any charge. A similar admission that there was no evidence to support any charges against Anwar was made in the earlier NST front page report on June 12 2012.
Yet the NST and other UMNO media have repeatedly and irresponsibly alleged that Anwar is guilty of some kind of wrongdoing. Despite weeks of relentless attacks in the UMNO-owned media, not an iota of believable evidence has been produced against Anwar in relation to the RM 3 billion false allegation.
Trial of hearsay and insinuation in Umno media
Under the instructions and encouragement of UMNO, Malaysia's parliamentary opposition leader is being subjected to a trial by hearsay and insinuation in the UMNO-owned media.
Baseless, misleading and unsupported statements are being given front page coverage under blatantly defamatory headlines. The allegations are then repeated by the BN controlled electronic media, without affording Anwar the opportunity to defend himself.
Protected by the massive resources of the ruling coalition, the UMNO-BN media continue their attacks regardless of defamation suits. It is unthinkable that the BN-owned media can carry out these attacks without Najib's personal approval.
Vendetta against Anwar
This Najib-inspired campaign of vilification and character assasination against the opposition leader is unprecedented in the history of our nation.
We call upon Prime Minister Najib to call off these baseless personal attacks upon Anwar by the BN-owned media, and instead engage the Opposition leader in televised debates on national policies and issues.
