UMNO AT THE CROSS-ROAD OF CRISIS!!! IS THERE A POWER STRUGGLE BREWING?

The latest episode with regards to PTPTN-Selangor crisis has just reveal that there may be a power struggle within UMNO that is about to erupt.

There were rumours circulating that there were three (3) fractions in UMNO namely, Najib-Mahathir, Muhyiddin-Mahathir and Pah Lah. But since Pah Lah (Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) had declared he will not be contesting, there are two groups now.

The man who had to be watched is Mahathir, who claims to be the "king-maker".

From the way the current administration is run, it seems Najib is just listening to the advice of Mahathir and administering the nation.

His deputy, Muhyiddin is desperate to become Prime Minister and is also trying is level best to be in the good books of Mahathir. Muhyiddin is also expecting that Najib will be forced to vacate is position with the revelation of Scorpene bribery, etc and murder scandal.

The recent failure of Muhyiddin in the PTPTN-Selangor issue will backlash on Muhyiddin- Mahathir co-operation although it may have been on the advice from the king-maker himself.

Mahathir is so desperate to see UMNO continue to rule Putrajaya and may do anything in his power to see that this will be a reality. Mahathir is fully aware that his 'can of worms' will be exposed if UMNO fail to secure Putrajaya.

Pah Lah, the disobedient servant of Mahathir and with his departure and not going to contest in Kepala Batas today may create some upset. Pah Lah had been humiliated by Mahathir from the moment Pah Lah became Prime Minister and when Pah Lah abandoned most of Mahathir's projects, Mahathir intensified his criticism against Pah Lah with the hope that he will be removed by the UMNO leadership. Pah Lah was actually 'forced' to hand over the Prime Minister's post to Najib.

Since then, Mahathir had been having a upper hand in the administration. This could clearly been seen that Mahathir continues to speak at many functions.

Najib's greatest failure would be his association with Mahathir. Najib if wise would follow Pah Lah's footsteps. Pah Lah obtained a resounding victory during his 2004 general elections since he did not abide with the instructions of Mahathir.

But there are also rumours that UMNO/BN may lose this elections (13 GE). Many decisions made warrant this forecast.

Ultimately its the VOTERS who will DECIDE. Looking at today's outlook, UMNO/BN will be kicked-out of Putrajaya. If this happens, UMNO will be a matter of the past.
