NO BUSES PLYING ALONG LINTAS BYPASS

WASTED.....The unused bus stop in front of Citymall.

A COMPLAINT was brought up by Ms Chin who works in Citymall along the Lintas bypass to Inanam. She raised the question why City Hall KK(DBKK) are not approving permit for buses to ply along that stretch of road for commuters’ convenience despite numerous request from the public.

Sabah DAP KK MP Hiew King Cheu’s assistant Robert Rajah received the complaint this morning. The only public transport that is currently available is that through Jalan Kolam where commuters will have to stop 400 meters before Jalan Kolam traffic lights.
From there, they will have to walk on the busy bypass road to reach Citymall for at least a 2km journey and this is very dangerous considering that they are walking alongside a busy stretch of road.

She said there is a bus stop built fronting the Citymall Shopping Complex but for what purpose only those who constructed it knows, or even DBKK knows the purpose why it is built.

She suggested that buses/mini buses be given permit to ply the route for the convenience of those working at Citymall or even for those working in Iramanis area. Citymall has been in existence for more than 5 years now but no public transport to provide service for commuters going there.

Robert said, those who require transport will have to take a taxi going to and from Citymall. To take a taxi to come down from Citymall and this trip will cost the passenger about RM20. Notwithstanding this, the passenger will have to pay for the additional fares to go to their destination on top of the RM20.

In fact, along Jalan Lintas except the route from Jalan Kolam traffic light to Luyang Clinic, there are no public transports plying the route along the bypass from Lido right up to the traffic light near airport.

Robert urged the DBKK and LPKP to be more sensitive to the needs of public transport users and the government should also be more concern and accommodating to the rakyat especially those using public transport as their only means of transportation.

  7. Mungkin ini berguna pada mereka yang menunggu diambil oleh keluarga. Tidak semestinya kegunaan untuk menunggu bus.
