Soros wanted to meet me, claims Najib

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today admitted that he had met with George Soros two years ago but claimed it was the controversial currency speculator who wanted to meet him.

“It was a normal courtesy call. Nothing untoward, nothing sinister, nothing to worry about,” he said, matter of fact.
He added that the important thing was “not that I (the PM) met him, but what was discussed”.

“We did not discuss about how to topple the government or to get funding, etc,” he said.

He, however, declined to elaborate on what was discussed at the New York meeting, and repeatedly said that “it was just a courtesy call”.

Asked if Soros was advised not to fund puppet regimes, the PM said: “We did’'t talk about that. He didn’t say anything about that.”

He is also accused by several quarters recently of having funded anti-government activities in several countries including Egypt, which underwent what is now called the Arab Spring.
BN supreme council meeting

Najib, who spoke after chairing the BN supreme council meeting, said that the meeting had discussed the 2013 Budget and how to ensure proper implementation.

“There are 111 touch points and we endeavour to implement them to show that this government has the will to fulfil all promises,” he said.

He also said that the Pakatan Rakyat alternative budget had failed to garner interest, especially from analysts.

“Analysts found the budget cannot be defended in terms of its credibility and sustainability... as the promises included will undermine the national economy,” he said.

  1. Thanks for sharing with me Consider shutting off the air conditioner, opening the windows and enjoying the breeze. It may be a tad warmer, but at lower speeds you'll save fuel. That said, at higher speeds the A/C may be more efficient than the wind resistance from open windows and sunroof. If I'm going someplace where arriving sweaty and smelly could be a problem, I bring an extra shirt and leave early so I'll have time for a quick change.Car Import
