Najib: Nation's infrastructure is BN's doing

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today reminded the people about all the major infrastructure projects that the BN government had undertaken in the past.
This was something the people should reflect on before voting on May 5.

"Imagine a country without the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), without KLCC, without Putrajaya, without the TBS terminal," he said while launching the South Integrated Terminal (TBS) in Bandar Tasik Selatan today.

Najib claimed that "certain parties" that objected to these developments initially are now wishing to "own" them.

"Even then, there were parties that objected to all these projects. Today they are wishing they can own facilities that are prepared by the current government," he told a packed audience in a function held at the bustling main lobby of the terminal.

"People seem to be so attracted by the word ‘change'. But you need to think for yourselves, is ‘change' effective? We have proven that we are an effective government," he added.

"Some people say that all governments are the same. That is not true. Some governments can bring about goodness. Some governments can disappoint," he said.

"Better than an airport"

Najib said that the construction of the TBS terminal demonstrates the success of the government's transformation program.

The terminal was completed at a cost of RM570 million.

"It can compare with airports, be it inside or outside of the terminal," said Najib.

He also claimed that if someone were to rate the terminal, it would be given a five-star status for its facilities, while reminding the people that even the Puduraya bus terminal had been transformed under his watch.
