Netizens crown SUPP Wanita chief 'Kak Angry'

Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) wanita chief Amy Tnay's remarks against Malaysian voters overseas has earned her the monikers 'Kak Angry' and 'Kak Shitting'.

In a video clip uploaded toFacebook and garnered over 3,000 shares overnight, Tnay is can be heard allegedly criticising the 'Jom Balik Undi' campaign, which encourages Malaysians residing overseas to return home to vote.

She also accused the overseas voters of abandoning general Malaysians living in the country, who she says will have to face Islamic law and PAS.

"(The overseas voters) shitting around, cast a ballot and then pad their buttocks, regardless of those who are staying in Malaysia, of how we are going to face PAS.

"This is what causes us anger, this is irresponsible. The failure to see the plot of the opposition. We are duty-bound to tell them (overseas voters) we are very angry,” she can be heard saying in the clip,  which was recorded at a SUPP event on Friday, a day before nomination.

Tnay's remarks had raised the ire of netizens abroad, with some calling voters in Sarawak to vote against SUPP candidates, while others have said they will travel home just to vote for PAS.

When contacted, Tnay urged outstation and overseas voters to think of the consequences before casting their ballot.

She hoped her statement would be respected under the principle of freedom of expression, saying those who called her ‘Kak Angry’ are actually those who share in her opinion.

Tnay then apologised for causing discomfort among the public for spelling out the truth.
