People- Its a Choice between Bad and Good Government!

Dear SamDol,

I have already said, this election is not about (1) wanting to make Anwar Ibrahim as PM nor (2) seeing whether Najib can continue his tenure.

This election is about wanting to establish a good government. A government that does good all-around and a government founded on the principles of rule of law. It’s about forming a government consisting of good people, committed, dedicated and having a sense of purpose to build up this country so that, we can share and participate in her bounty fairly and in a just manner. It’s also our mission to form a government that secures and strengthens the institutions that safeguard democracy; chief  among them being the judiciary.

So that the judicial system gives confidence that it is a place where ordinary people can seek justice and redress from the rapacious greed and bullying of the powerful. We want to have a corrupt free government governing us with good governance.

In the end, it is the rule of law that protects all citizens including Malays. If Malays seek protection from UMNO and lives under UMNO’s protection, they live under the rule of arbitrariness. UMNO protects you for as long you serve their purpose. UMNO rules on the principle , lu tolong gua, gua tolong lu. UMNO lives on the principles, give me your nambikei and I will provide for you.

So, it’s inherently faulty when Najib spoke to his people about deciding on a choice between him and Anwar, when it is really a choice between a bad and good government. Najib represents the bad government while Anwar represents our desire to form a good government.

Yesterday was Saturday night. After hallelujah-ing in Bukit Jalil, as in the common practice, the BN and UMNO eager beavers adjourn to exclusive clubs in town, partaking in the pleasures of the night while glossing over what the UMNO president has just said.

Many of them will say what a jerk their boss is.
