DAP today said it would go to court over an Umno Youth protest unless the Attorney-General reviewed his decision not to act against the members, who had demonstrated and threatened to burn the party’s headquarters in May.
Its vice-chairman, Tan Kok Wai, said Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail should reverse the decision or the party would sue.
"We urge the Attorney-General to review his decision or we will take this case to court so that the DAP will get justice,” he said a media conference at the Parliament lobby today.
On May 22, 50 Umno Youth members, led by Federal Territory chief Mohd Razlan Muhamad Rafi, demonstrated in front of the party headquarters over Seri Delima assemblyman R.S.N. Rayer “Umno celaka” (Umno be damned) remark.
Police arrested Razlan and five others for criminal intimidation.
