PETALING JAYA - The UK government is reviewing its advice for tourists travelling to Malaysia in the wake of the arrest of a British woman for posing naked on Mount Kinabalu, the UK daily The Guardian reported today.
The Foreign Office said: "The travel advice team are going to discuss with the Malaysian desk how best they think the travel advice should be updated in light of this incident. They are going to review it … they may include (reference to) it as a warning so that it doesn't happen again," the daily was quoted as saying.
According to the paper, the current travel advice to Malaysia makes no mention of the incident. But it urges tourists to "respect local traditions, customs, laws and religions at all times and be aware of your actions to ensure that they don't offend".
It adds: "You should also dress modestly, particularly in conservative and rural areas and when visiting places of worship."

My advise to all foreign tourists visiting Malaysia are: (1) dress in tree leaves like Tarzan & Jane. (2) remember to always carry a club like a caveman does. (3) learn how to swing from tree to tree. (4) if possible, carry 2 coconuts for superstitious issues. Malaysia (not due to climate change) has gone back to the ice age era. Instead of going forward like an advance country or at least status quo, it has actually decided to put on its reverse gear, driving backward. What is the vision of Malaysia? Not 2020 definitely. It sounds more like 0202!!!!
