In wanting to refer Zuraida to the parliament's rights and privileges committee, Bung Moktar, who is Barisan Nasional's Kinabatangan MP, said he took offence to the conduct of the protesters who had threatened the safety of his family.
He said whatever differences between them, it should be resolved within the Dewan Rakyat chambers instead of going to his residence.
"This is a threat that affects my family. This is a rude action by the Ampang MP.
"They were lucky I was not there, if I was, there may have been deaths. Don't challenge me," a visibly upset Bung Moktar said in the Dewan Rakyat today.
He had interrupted Rafizi Ramli (PKR-Pandan) who was halfway through his debate on the Development Financial Institutions (Amendment) Bill 2015.

They were upset with the four-term MP for insinuating that the husband of Zuraida would fear her aggressive behaviour during a parliamentary debate on June 9.
