In separate statements today, Lim and Dr Wan Azizah also urged Barisan Nasional lawmakers and non-governmental organisations "disgusted with corruption" to join the meeting.
The meeting is being called by opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah at Lim's request.
"The meeting is to consider the impact, implications and Malaysia's future as a result of the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) allegation and the Attorney-General's confirmation on the existence of document from a government special task force probe on the serious charge of embezzlement against the prime minister," Lim said.
WSJ recently published a report claiming that up to US$700 million (RM2.67 billion) was channelled from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) into Najib's personal accounts before the 13th general election.
Najib has denied the allegations and said the report was a "lie" which he said was instigated by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
