A 16-year-old boy today pleaded guilty at the Juvenile Court in Klang today to raping an underaged girl two years ago.
The school dropout was alleged to have raped the girl at Bandar Sultan Suleiman at about 12 noon in December 2014 when she was 13 and a half years old.
The accused, who was unrepresented, was charged under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of not less than five years but not exceeding 20 years and fine upon conviction.
Magistrate Nor Asma Ahmad set bail at RM1,000 in two sureties and the accused was also ordered to report to a nearby police station fortnightly.
Yesterday the rape victim also pleaded guilty to providing police with false information.
