Aide's 'no room for bags in jet's cargo hold' claim disputed

PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli has disputed the claim that the cargo hold of the government-chartered jet used by Rosmah Mansor was full of Permata Seni group’s performance paraphernalia.
This is after Rosmah's aide Rizal Mansor said that not all of the bags carried into the cabin belonged to the prime minister’s wife.
He said they included the luggage of passengers and crew members since the cargo hold had no more room.

However, Rafizi said performance by the Permata Seni members at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport was reportedly on Wednesday afternoon, while the jet arrived at the Turkish capital at 4.30pm.
He noted that Bernama also reported Rosmah greeting the children who participated in the Permata show at the Hotel Hyatt Regency Atakoy on Wednesday night.

"So it does not make sense that Permata Seni stage gear was carried in the chartered ACJ319 A6-CJE jet because there would not be enough time for performers to prepare after arrival.
"Thus I believe the cargo hold was not full as claimed by Rizal," said the Pandan MP in a media statement.
