Alamak !! Another RM12 Million Donation Gone Missing !!

Image result for Datuk Lau Cheng Kiong said RM12mil handed to SB Sandakan on May 24.

This is from The Star.

families of four S'kian sailors released by Abu Sayyaf clarified
all donations to secure freedom were handed over to police

Datuk Lau Cheng Kiong said RM12mil handed to SB Sandakan on May 24.

We handed amount in 12 Hong Leong cheques of RM1mil each
to Special Branch, Sandakan between 4pm and 6pm on May 24.

All money raised handed to SB, we did not keep a single sen

SB director Fuzi Harun said no comments on the allegations.

donors wanted to know what happened to money.

“Those who need clarification can look for SB and Hong Leong Bank

money from public donation. We have no right to keep them," he said.

RM9mil by individuals, RM1mil from mortgage, RM2mil from shipping company

from Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, China, Solomon Islands, Malaysia.

“People who gave big amounts do not want names revealed,"

My comments :  This sounds very fishy. If the payment was made via cheque, surely the cheque must have the beneficiary's name.  There were 12 cheques.

Why not Dato Lau Cheng Kiong just say clearly who is or are the beneficiary of the twelve cheques of RM1.0 million each? End of mystery.

Then say if the cheques have been cashed in or not. These are large cheques. For sure the Hong Leong Bank would have called.

By saying, “Those who need clarification can look for Special Branch and Hong Leong Bank"  is creating more doubts. As though the Special Branch took the money.

But why do we have to pay ransoms to get our people back from kidnappers?

Why do these kidnappings still take place?

Where is ESSCOM?  ESSCOM  has failed.

Since Lahad Datu, hundreds of millions have been spent on ESSCOM and security in Sabah.

More millions are being spent, including on my idea to use oil oil platforms as staging bases for special forces. A cargo ship has also been converted into a operations base for special forces.

Yet the kidnappings are happening and ransom is being collected. But in this case was the collected ransom paid?

We were told that the Abu Sayyaf released the four Sarawakian hostages because Malaysia had embargoed  all trade between Sabah and Mindanao which had caused the prices of goods to double in Mindanao.

This in turn created a lot of pressure on the Abu Sayyaf to release the four Malaysian hostages. There was no reference to any money being paid. Certainly not RM12 million.

Now the donors are asking what happened to the RM12 million ransom that was collected and handed over to the SB.

If this mystery is not solved, then the next time the donors will not give money.

Also people (like the SB) may not be too eager to help.

I am sure the Abu Sayyaf are fuming mad if RM12 million was collected but never delivered to them. So who got the money?

Is this why that other hostage was beheaded yesterday? Because the Abu Sayyaf did not get any of the RM12 Million?
