PUTRAJAYA - The Malaysian Embassy in Ankara has confirmed that the Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor made an official visit to Istanbul in May, at the invitation of Cambridge IF Analytica in conjunction with the Global Good Governance (3G) Awards 2016.
In a statement today, Malaysian Ambassador to Turkey Datuk Amran Mohamed Zin said Rosmah, who arrived in Istanbul on May 25 night, rushed back to Malaysia shortly after the 3G Council Awards ceremony was over on May 26.
Amran said the event was organised in conjunction with the Global Donors Forum and the World Humanitarian Summit.
"Rosmah delivered the keynote speech at the 3G Awards ceremony and received the 3G Children Welfare Award for the success of the Permata programme, which was chosen globally as the award winner.
"As patron of the Permata programme, Rosmah was invited by the organisers to receive the award. It is an international recognition of Permata's contribution to the growth of education and learning, psychology, intellectual and physique of children," he added.
Prior to the 3G Awards ceremony, Rosmah met Qatar Education Supreme Council member and World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists (WCMP) board chairman Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh bin Nasser Al-Thani and Cambridge IF Analytica leaders.
