If BN wins big, it will be more ‘Barang Naik’

YOURSAY | ‘Should BN win, it simply means voters have given up listening to the opposition.’
Pemerhati: If there is a big win for BN, it would be good news for PM Najib Abdul Razak and bad news for DPM Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
This is because the Umno warlords will not take any action to remove Najib from the premiership as they would feel that the 1MDB scandal will not jeopardise BN’s chances of winning elections.
It will mean that Najib can continue his allegedly dubious activities and he and his family can continue with their extravagant and luxurious lifestyle such as his wife, Rosmah Mansor, travelling around the world in private jets allegedly at public expense.
Zahid thus will not have the opportunity to become the PM and have his turn, like Najib and Dr Mahathir Mohamad did when they were in power.
But for Malaysians, the current situation will not significantly change if Najib continues as PM or if he is replaced by Zahid as Zahid has shown that he is not very different from Najib when it comes to activities, such as his project to bring in 1.5 million Bangladeshis.
SSDhaliwal: Malaysians are idiots and really still can be bought for measly handouts. They don't have the mental maturity to think that they can receive money from BN and yet vote for the opposition.
If this continues, the goods and services tax (GST) will increase to 12 percent as Najib will take this as people’s acceptance of GST and all of us will have to pay for what the kampung folks did.
Kneazle: As long as there is Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M), free rice and lucky draws, the supporters of BN will never realise that they’ve got the short end of the stick.
Anonymous_40f4: Even after allegedly wasting public money and RM2.6 billion found in Najib's personal account, BN can still win?
Then the people must be either totally ignorant or stupid or just hard up for BN's dedak (animal feed) or they got conned once again by BN's 3M - money, media and machinery - and empty promises.
Maybe the people of Malaysia are okay with alleged mega corruption, wastages, racism, religious fanaticism, and blatant abuse of public funds.
If the PM is caught with RM2.6 billion in his personal accounts in any other country, the people would have demanded that he or she be thrown into prison for the rest of his or her life.
Anonymous_1390303981: Remember, you get who you vote for, it's karma.
If BN wins then I've got to live with it and can anticipate the following: 1. Barang naik, 2. GST naik, 3. Korupsi naik, 4. Hutang naik, and 5. Kos sara hidup naik.
Don’t blame anyone else, just blame yourselves.
Clever Voter: This is not apathy. It is reality. Should BN win, it simply means voters have given up listening to the opposition.
A glass half full is better than nothing. In other words, accept the inevitable and pray for miracles. Such conditions are ripe for dictatorship. We should worry.
The Analyser: If they had any political savvy, Pakatan Harapan would have realised this outcome was inevitable the day after the Sarawak election. What did they do? Nothing.
DAP ran away with its tail between its legs. PKR started fighting among themselves. Amanah looked blankly at one another.
In true Malaysian form, we had the situation of when in doubt do nothing and hope a miracle (godly, of course) will resolve your problems.
These by-elections are the culmination of 10 years of failure and will result in the total failure of the opposition cause. They only have themselves to blame.
HaveAGreatDay: A big win for the BN? Sigh, I can live with that but that portends ill for the future of our country.
Sungai Besar is no rural hinterland - if a majority of the voters can live with the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’, our nation is surely going to the slaughterhouse led by the nose by the Umnoputras.
Anticommunalist: This article is very accurate - Umno is going to win hands down. Pakatan Harapan parties are a no-show. They are totally disorganised.
A certain top PKR person is still sharing the same 'bed' with PAS, while PAS is sharing the same 'bed' with Umno.
Pisasu 7: So what? It's Umno’s seats anyway. Any donkey put up by them will win because of free food.
That's why the RM2.6 billion donation is important in a country like Malaysia. Votes can be bought anytime.
How to trust the Election Commission, or for that matter our anti-corruption agencies or the police or the Attorney-General’s Chambers or Bank Negara?

Anonymous_1371636271: ‘Kurang ajar’ would be those who steal from the rakyat and pretend it is okay. ‘Bodoh’ would be those who support those ‘kurang ajar’ people.- Mkini
