Amanah leaders slam PAS No 2 over 'fail for Harapan' remark

Amanah leaders in PAS-ruled states have slammed PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man's poor assessment of Pakatan Harapan's performance during its first 100 days in power.
Kelantan Amanah Youth leader Hazmi Hassan (above) described Tuan Ibrahim's remark as reckless and instead questioned what PAS had achieved in Kelantan in six years under the administration of menteri besar Ahmad Yakob.
"What development has the current PAS leadership brought to Kelantan thus far other than continuing policies and programmes from the era of the late Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat?
"What about Kelantan PAS' manifesto? Have all the promises made in the 'expired' GE13 manifesto and the recent GE14 one been fulfilled?
“Or is it (the party) continuing to cheat the rakyat and voters in the name of religion with all its pledges made prior being forgotten?" he told Malaysiakini today.
This was in response Tuam Ibrahim who earlier today said he gave the Harapan administration a score of “27 to 30” out of 100 marks in assessing the coalition’s performance in its first 100 days in power.
"It's a grade ‘D’ that needs to be reviewed," Tuan Ibrahim told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
Hazmi also questioned the Kelantan state government's ability to address woes faced by its people such as the demolition of the Pasir Puteh market, the construction of the new market in Binjai which only sports zinc roofs and so on.
"What about the Kelantan land battle involving Orang Asli from the Temiar community in Gua Musang? Is the state government going to prioritise greedy capitalists over the interests of natives defending their only source of food and livelihood?
"We would like to remind PAS that Harapan fulfilled at least six points in their manifesto so far, including returning oil royalty to Kelantan which the BN administration had held back so far," he said.
'A C minus'
Terengganu Amanah Youth leader Hasbi Muda also questioned the state government's achievements since PAS took over the administration from BN after the 14th general election.
He alleged no new programmes had been implemented by the new menteri besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar adding that its grading would amount to a C minus.
"All are 'recycled' programmes from BN. For instance, the wedding carnival programme is just a rehash of BN's initiative.
"In the 100 days PAS has ruled Terengganu, there are many weaknesses and shortcomings. But Harapan does not make noise about it because the reality is, it's not easy being the government and fulfilling a manifesto," he said. -Mkini
