Chief minister: 70 pct of Malacca Harapan's manifesto pledges implemented

Seventy percent of the 31 initiatives promised by the Malacca Pakatan Harapan government in its manifesto in the 14th general election (GE14) were realised over the 100-day period, said Malacca Chief Minister Adly Zahari (above).
He said among them were the implementation of the free bus service on Aug 20, abolition of parking charges on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as the change of Malay settlement land status from leasehold land to Malacca Customary Land (MCL) with a nominal premium payment of RM1,000.
However, Adly said the 100 days of Harapan ruling under the leadership of Dr Mahathir Mohamad was not a way of measuring the government performance, but should instead be the start of charting the future of the nation.
"The people can make an evaluation if within three months we can implement 31 initiatives ‘then (it will be possible) to fulfil 85 initiatives within a year.
"Actually, the Harapan government has the capability to do more than what was stated because the most important issue is taking care of the people’s well-being," he told reporters at the Malacca Government's 100 Days of Achievement ceremony at the Seri Negeri in Malacca today.
Also present were state secretary Roslan Ibrahim, executive council members and about 1,000 residents of the state.
Elaborating Adly said the state government was also focusing on improving the quality of life of the people by among others, providing job opportunities and increasing the people's income as mentioned in the manifesto.
