KUANTAN: A satay seller claimed trial at the Sessions Court here today to sexual abuse and criminal intimidation of a 12-year-old girl last month.
On the first count, the accused Zulkhairul Kople, 28, was charged with kissing the underage victim on her cheeks and on the second count, he was charged with intimidating the victim.
Zulkhairul, a bachelor, who hails from Pulau Serai, Pekan, near here, made the plea before judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.
He allegedly committed both offences at 4pm on Sept 10 at the Pulau Serai Integrated Housing Community.
Siti Aminah set bail at RM16,000 for both charges with one surety and fixed Nov 14 for re-mention. She also ordered the accused not to disturb the victim.
Deputy public prosecutor Farahah Mohd Nazari appeared for the prosecution while Zulkhairul was unrepresented.
Meanwhile, in a separate proceeding at the same court here today, a food stall assistant claimed trial to sodomising a 15-year-old boy at an eatery in Beserah here, last month.
The accused Noreddy Mohd Nasir, 29, allegedly committed the offence at 11am on Sept 30.
Siti Aminah allowed the accused bail of RM10,000 with one surety and fixed Nov 14 for mention. - FMT
