FGV files another suit against Isa, Emir

PETALING JAYA: FGV Holdings Bhd has filed a suit against its former chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, and former group president and chief executive officer, Datuk Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah, in relation to the purchase of two luxury condominiums near the KLCC.
The company said that the units were purchased at prices significantly above market value and without proper due diligence. It also contended the duo had unauthorised use and possession of the two condominiums.
The suit also pertains to the acquisition by the company of a number of cars and its misuse by Emir as well as the misuse of petrol benefit.
FGV is seeking a total of RM7.69 million from the duo contending that the company had suffered losses from their failure to discharge their respective fiduciary duty with reasonable care, skill and diligence.
This is the second civil suit filed against Isa and Emir.
Last Friday, FGV filed a suit against Isa, Emir and 12 others in relation to the acquisition of Asian Plantation Ltd for RM514mil in 2014.
The company contended the purchase caused it to suffer losses.- Star
