Seat negotiations between BN and Pakatan Harapan for the upcoming Terengganu state election will be held soon, said state Harapan leadership Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad.
He said Terengganu Harapan was prepared in principle to make way for BN in most of the state’s 32 seats.
“There is an understanding between Harapan and BN. However, official discussions have yet to take place. It is expected soon.
“Harapan is aware that BN has advantages because they have wide influence and experience in Terengganu,” Raja Kamarul (above) said in a statement today.
Cooperation between the two coalitions was important in order to wrest Terengganu from PAS, he said.
PAS wrested Terengganu from BN in 2018 by winning 22 out of 32 seats. BN came in second with 10 seats while Harapan didn’t win any.
Terengganu is among the six states which have to conduct legislative assembly elections this year.
Harapan and BN are expected to join forces in all six polls. - Mkini
