Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) wants to continue to focus on the stability of the government in order to develop the economy and the people as called upon by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Deputy Prime Minister, who is also GPS chief whip, Fadillah Yusof, said the government is stable and strong, and this was proven through the support of 148 MPs and Budget 2023, which was passed in Parliament last month.
“For GPS, this (stability of the government) is our focus and not on politicking because now is the time to develop and restore the economy for the sake of the people,” Fadillah (above) told reporters after an Aidilfitri gathering organised by Persaudaraan Masjid, Bintangor dan Haji Taha last night.
Fadillah was commenting on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s confidence that the government will remain intact until the next general election.
