Two restaurants and two car-wash businesses run by foreigners in Puncak Alam near here have been closed following an operation led by the Kuala Selangor municipal council.

The four-hour operation at the Setia Alam commercial centre also involved the Companies Commission of Malaysia and the customs department.

A total of 12 compound notices were issued for various violations, including operating without a licence, displaying unauthorised advertisements, and obstructing pedestrian paths. Trading equipment was also seized.

“This firm action aims to enhance awareness and ensure compliance with local regulations, particularly among foreign traders. Such operations will continue to uphold public welfare and maintain the safety of the local community,” the council said. - FMT
