Two months on, one survivor still in hospital after Pinkfish drug incident

KUALA LUMPUR: Two months after the tragic Pinkfish concert drug incident, police say one individual remains in hospital, continuing to recover from the ordeal and requiring ongoing medical care

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the victim "is in stable condition but requires close medical attention" but did not elaborate.

"Investigations are ongoing ...," he said in a statement, adding that 53 people have been questioned.

According to police, pathology reports have confirmed that stimulant drug intoxication was the cause of death for three of the four people who died after the PinkFish concert on Dec 31.

Hussein confirmed that three victims died due to "stimulant drugs intoxication."

"The report of another victim has not yet been obtained and is under investigation by the hospital authorities," he said.

In January, police said three men had been arrested on suspicion of selling the party drug ecstasy at the Pinkfish Countdown 2025 New Year's Eve concert in Bandar Sunway.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 30, were detained from locations across Selangor from Jan 8 to 12. - NST
