KUALA LUMPUR: The flash flood in Shah Alam is beginning to recede following heavy rainfall early this morning.
Traffic in the area is also improving as the rain has eased, Shah Alam police said in a statement today.
The affected areas in Sri Muda include Persiaran Budiman, Persiaran Jubli Perak, Persiaran Perusahaan Seksyen 23, Aeon Big Seksyen 23, Jalan Mantap Seksyen 25/129, and Shell petrol station in Seksyen 19.
According to the "Public Info Banjir" website, as of 10am, water levels in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam, had exceeded the danger level of 5 metres by 0.09 metres. Nonetheless, the water is receding.
The police added that Jalan Mat Raji in Padang Jawa was also affected. Authorities have also closed the motorcycle lane at Km15.3 of the Federal Highway.
