Divisional PKR Youth polls in Kedah cancelled

PETALING JAYA: 

The divisional PKR Youth elections in Kedah today were cancelled by the PKR election committee due to a technical issue.

“There were some technical problems,” committee chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa told FMT.

In a statement, the committee said fresh polling for the divisional PKR Youth leaderships will be held again tomorrow from 8am to 5pm.

It said polling for the other divisional leadership posts in Kedah had been extended to 8pm from 5pm previously.

“Members of the youth wing can cast their ballots before 8pm today for the divisional and women’s wing elections,” it added.

PKR’s divisional elections were supposed to close at 5pm.

Some 19,356 PKR members in Kedah are expected to vote for their new division leaders, with nearly all of them doing it online. - FMT
