
Amirudin said each state executive council member (Exco), state assemblyman, and civil servant holding Grade 48 or higher will contribute RM1,000, RM200, and RM50, respectively.
In total, he said, an estimated RM102,050 would be donated to the relief fund.
Amirudin said as of last night, 469 out of 613 families had been identified to receive additional financial aid.
“A total of 81 homeowners whose houses were totally destroyed will receive RM10,000 each, while the remaining will receive RM5,000 each,” he told a press conference.
The Selangor Prihatin Fund, set up by the state government, supports the recovery and relief efforts for those affected by the fire, including cash assistance, house repairs, and temporary accommodation.
On another note, Amirudin said the Dewan Camelia relief centre would be closed tonight after all its residents returned home, while victims at the Putra Heights mosque would return home in stages until the end of this week.
He added that over 1,000 volunteers would be mobilised this weekend to assist with cleanup efforts in the affected areas.
The Petronas gas pipeline fire that broke out at around 8.10am on April 1 sent flames more than 30m into the sky, with temperatures soaring to 1,000 degrees Celsius.
