WEDNESDAY 11 JUNE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT TARIFF PROPOSALS TO WASHINGTON

The Americans say they have sent a "friendly reminder" to all their trading partners around the globe to revert to Washington (by Wednesday June 11th 2025)  on their 'counter-proposals' over the new US Tariffs regime which is set to kick in on July 9th 2025. 

Here are two brief news reports about the letter:

• just to give them a friendly reminder that deadline is coming up
• “The president expects good deals, and we are on track for that.”
• letter framed as a way to steer ongoing talks rather than an ultimatum

Reuters reported Monday the administration drafted letter demanding that countries provide their best offers by Wednesday in order to speed trade talks before July 9, when President Donald Trump’s higher levies are set to take effect. Trump paused those duties in April for 90 days to allow time for negotiations.

2. Transport Topics News

Reuters reported June 2 that the administration is seeking to push countries to offer their best terms in trade talks before July 9, when higher levies are set to take effect on trading partners and blocs. Trump paused those duties in April for 90 days to allow time for negotiations. 

My Comments:  

• So how? 
• Will "Jabatan Persuratan" be replying the letter?  
• Maybe use Shakespearean English?
• After reading so much Shakespeare. 
• You dont have to kiss their butt. 
• But no kissing the neck ok. Yukky. 
• No grabbing @$$ either. Disgusting.
• The deadline is Wednesday June 11th - which is three days away. 

• June 11th is just five days before that '@$$ grabbing' case. 
• So where should the focus be? 
• This will require some serious multi-tasking skills.
• So how? Can focus or cannot focus? 

• The American proposal is quite simple. 
• You tariff me 300% I tariff you 300%. 
• You lower your tariff, I also lower my tariff.
• You put non-tariff barriers I tariff you until you pengsan 
• So what will it be? 

Below here is the Ford Mustang for sale in Rancho, California (USA). Selling price starts at around US$32,000. Or about RM140,000.    

This car sold here (or sells here) for between RM460,000 TO RM600,000 (according to specs). That is more than THREE TIMES the price in the US. At least 328% !!

 

How can that be?  

 

Hello mathematically-challenged Malaysian consumer, if the Ford Mustang can sell here at RM140,000 then ALL other imported cars at the price range between RM150,000 to RM600,000 must also cut their prices to RM140,000 or lower. Because if they do not cut their prices then everyone will want to buy a Ford Mustang for just RM140,000. 

 

Now please allow me to address the kaum bodoh ok. Wahai kaum bodoh,  please dont tell me crap about "protecting the domestic market". We have been doing that for over 50 years now. 

 

For the past 50 years I have been getting poorer paying through my nose so that the rich who have the APs, the monopolies and the quotas to import motor vehicles can get rich and fat from cheating us about  "protecting the domestic market". 

 

They have just been protecting their own villas, their own private jets, their foreign bank accounts, their millions and billions which they have been stealing from us the ordinary people.

 

Please wake up.
