Abdul Hadi Awang’s family is disappointed by the public sharing of photos from Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad’s visit to the PAS president at the National Heart Institute (IJN) earlier today.
His son, Khalil Abdul Hadi, said the family was upset with the minister’s action, which they claimed disregarded their privacy and the standard operating procedures (SOP) for hospital visits.
“We are disappointed with the health minister’s conduct, which failed to respect the family’s privacy and the SOPs for hospital visits.
“In fact, the distribution of Hadi’s photo without the family’s consent, uploaded on Facebook for public viewing, is highly inappropriate and very unethical.
“This unprofessional conduct is deeply regrettable,” said Khalil, who also serves as a Terengganu state executive councillor.

Earlier, Dzulkefly posted a photo on Facebook documenting his visit to the Marang MP, who is receiving treatment at IJN.
He said Hadi’s treatment went smoothly and expressed hope for his full recovery.
“I was informed that although the procedure was complex, everything went smoothly.
“InsyaAllah, he is expected to return home soon, and let us all pray that he makes a full recovery,” Dzulkefly said.
He also thanked the cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery teams at IJN for their efforts. - Mkini
