The video recording of two press conferences held by Pandan MP and PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli relating to the Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) and 1MDB last March, has today been declared to be under the Official Secrets Act.
Sessions Court judge Zulqarnain Hassan made the order before the video was aired in court.
“The contents of the video on the report over LTAT are not for reporting through the public and social media. They are under OSA,” he ruled.
The recording was not uploaded by online broadcaster KiniTV Sdn Bhd but was taken by videographer Mohd Azfar Effendi.
It was tendered today by the prosecution during the trial of Rafizi, who is facing two OSA charges after disclosing documents that purportedly link LTAT and 1MDB at the Parliament lobby on March 24 and 28 this year.
Azfar, 26, testified today that he took footage of the press conference on both days, he said to questions from DPP Zhafran Rahim Hamzah.
The raw footage of the two press conferences was shown in court.
After viewing the footage, Azfar verified that the recordings were the ones he took of both press conferences.

He told the court that he made the recording from a Sony NS 70 video camera and handed the SD card to producer Tham Seen Hau.
The videographer said besides him at the press conference there were several other reporters and one of them was Nawar Firdaus.
Rafizi was represented by lawyer Gobind Singh Deo and Saiful Izham Ramli.
However, they did not pose any questions to Azfar.
The hearing today had to be cut short as the other DPP, who is handling the case, met with an accident in Putrajaya.
DPP Mohd Abazafree Mohd Abbas told the court that all documents related to the case are with the other DPP.
At the last session, National Audit Department deputy director, Nor Salwani Muhammad, agreed that the OSA is not meant for covering up serious breaches and malpractice committed by government institutions. -Mkini
