Attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali will lead the prosecution team to charge Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng tomorrow.
Lim is expected to be charged under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act.
“InsyaAllah, I will lead the prosecution team tomorrow at the Penang Sessions Court,” the AG reportedly told Bernama.
Lim is held at the Penang MACC headquarters at Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah following his arrest after chairing the executive council meeting at the Komtar building today.
Also arrested today was Phang Li Koon, who sold the bungalow on Jalan Pinhorn, Penang to Lim for RM2.8 million.
He is expected to be charged with abuse of power in the re-zoning of land from agriculture to commercial, and the bungalow purchase.
Lim has previously denied wrongdoing. - Mkini
