WAS SLAIN BANKER NAJADI ABOUT TO EXPOSE NAJIB'S A/CS?: AMBANK MURDER CASE REVERBERATES AT UNITED NATIONS

WAS SLAIN BANKER NAJADI ABOUT TO EXPOSE NAJIB'S A/CS?: AMBANK MURDER CASE REVERBERATES AT UNITED NATIONS
For several months, Pascal Najadi left no stone un-turned to reopen the investigation into the assassination of his father, Hussain Najadi, who was killed by several bullets fired at close range on a street in Kuala Lumpur on July 29, 2013.
The investment banker Iranian descent, married to a Swiss, founded the Arab bank for economic development in Malaysia (now known as AmBank). The bank is at the heart of a gigantic political and financial scandal (known as the 1MDB debacle) embroiling Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his entourage.
The case has known extensions to Switzerland, where an investigation was initiated to identify the beneficiaries of public money embezzlement estimated at $ 4 billion. After discovering that the investigation into the assassination of his father had been buried by the Malaysian police, Pascal Najadi is satisfied that his death was linked to the discoveries and revelations he was about to make.
A independent investigation established that the alleged assassin of Hussain Najadi had not only enjoyed amazing complicity within the state apparatus, but was close to some players in the case..
In a letter dated June 19, counsel for Pascal Najadi, Mr Nick Kaufman, brought the case before the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions of the United Nations, Christof Heyns. His complaint is directed at the Malaysian state.
Pascal Najadi says his father had mentioned shortly before his death, a case of "massive corruption" involving "people in power". For him, there is no doubt that this is a matter of state. He claims to have proof that the investigation of the author and the alleged sponsor of the assassination of Hussain Najadi was sabotaged.
His lawyer reports that the instruction given out was to intentionally ignore the links between the latter (the author and sponsor of the murder) and the former head of the Malacca police. A track that would lead to those involved in the financial scandal that is splashing the corridors of power.
The proceedings before the United Nations is to hold accountable the Malaysian justice system and force the state to unlock access to information on the investigation.
