Instead of suing his mistress, Nika Gee, and/or her husband, Stanley Augustin, Muhyiddin is asking his mistress to change lawyers to a DAP lawyer and at the same time his people are trying to reach Stanley Augustin to get him to sign a second SD to replace the first SD he signed in December last year.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
First of all, if you have not been following the events surrounding the divorce case of a woman named Nika Gee Siew Yee — who has confessed to her husband, Stanley Clement Augustin, of having a long-term affair with Muhyiddin Yassin — then you can catch up on the stories here:
Yesterday, at 5.00pm, a meeting was held in Muhyiddin’s house, attended by Muhyiddin’s sycophants and stooges, to discuss what to do about Malaysia Today’s expose in the six stories above. We would have imagined that they would have discussed what legal course of action they should take. Instead, they decided on an entirely different course of action.
First they have asked Nika Gee to replace her lawyer with a DAP lawyer, who they feel can handle this divorce matter better (plus can help delay next week’s proceedings to a later date). Secondly, they are trying to get in touch with Stanley Augustin to try to make a deal with him. They will ask Stanley to either withdraw his Statutory Declaration or sign a new (second SD) to override or replace the first one he signed on 7th December 2015.
And all this must be completed over the next three days by or before Monday, 20th June 2016, when the four-day divorce proceeding is supposed to commence before Datuk Siti Mariah Binti Haji Ahmad.
During the meeting yesterday, Muhyiddin received a phone call from a very unhappy Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad — the de facto Opposition Leader and head of the ANC (Anti-Najib Campaign) — who wanted to know how Muhyiddin was going to manage the damage control. Muhyiddin then explained the two-prong course of action that they had decided on.
So, even as you read this, and as we all wait for the results of the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections, negotiations are ongoing regarding which lawyer from DAP will handle this case. And Muhyiddin’s boys are out looking for Stanley Augustin to propose a deal that at the very latest by Monday will get Muhyiddin off the hook — or so they hope.
One very glaring thing about yesterday’s meeting in Muhyiddin’s house is that Mukhriz Mahathir was absent. It seems he was invited as a sort of representative of his father but Mahathir thought it would be better that they distance themselves from this whole episode at the moment or else it may bring the entire ANC down.
For 18 months, Mahathir, Muhyiddin, Mukhriz and the ANC have subjected Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to non-stop attacks. The attacks were simple. They made allegations that Najib had stolen RM42 billion and maybe even more than RM50 billion of the taxpayers’ money. Najib was then asked to explain and then prove that he did not steal RM42 billion and maybe even more than RM50 billion of the taxpayers’ money.
Since Najib did not come out to explain or was not able to show any evidence that he did not steal RM42 billion and maybe even more than RM50 billion of the taxpayers’ money, then he has to be presumed guilty and must resign from office.
They also made sure that the allegations were carried by Mat Salleh bloggers and journalists in the UK and US so that there was no way Najib could sue them — especially in the UK since Najib does not have any links whatsoever with the UK. They set aside about RM600 million just to bribe the Mat Salleh bloggers and journalists in the UK and US to spin stories and to keep recycling the same old story regarding 1MDB over and over again as if they were new stories.
So the reason Najib must resign is not because he has without any doubt stolen RM42 billion and maybe even more than RM50 billion of the taxpayers’ money — or because there is evidence he has done so. It is because he did not come out to explain or show evidence that he did not steal RM42 billion and maybe even more than RM50 billion of the taxpayers’ money.
Furthermore, and what is considered most overwhelming or most damaging of all, Najib did not sue those bloggers and journalists in the UK and/or US courts although legally he cannot sue a British citizen in a British court since he has no links with the UK.
So now Muhyiddin has to come out and explain the allegations in the SD below and at the same time sue those who made the allegations. Or else, just like what they said about Najib, if Muhyiddin does not explain and does not sue then he is without a doubt guilty even if they change Nika Gee’s lawyer with a DAP lawyer and even if they get Stanley Augustin to sign a second SD.
