Deputy Home Minister takes PKR sec-gen to task for saying voters afflicted with the diseases of racial and religious sentiments, and materialism.
Yesterday, Sinar Harian reported Rafizi as attributing the BN’s victory to the “diseases” of racial and religious sentiment, and materialism.
He had said racial and religious sentiments had resulted in Umno retaining the Malay vote, and noted the effectiveness of announcing projects and giving handouts during campaigning.
However, in Sinar Harian’s report today, the Umno Supreme Council member charged that it was Rafizi who was inflicted with three “diseases”.
“One disease is that he does not want to admit his own weaknesses. Two, he likes to blame others.”
The Deputy Home Minister said the third “disease” the PKR secretary-general had, was his refusal to accept that the Opposition pact was a lie as they could not work together.
“However, they want to claim they are the alternative government,” he said at a buka puasa event last night.
In the recently concluded Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections, BN romped to victory, beating PAS and Amanah in multi-cornered fights.
