My comments :  I dont know if it is any consolation but most certainly these Arab sheikhs are more stupid than the monkeys running our own gomen.  The Saudis, perhaps the richest Arabs in the world  picked a fight with the Yemen the poorest Arab nation in this world.

Within 40 days of the Saudi aggression it became clear that they had made a mistake.  The Saudi Air Force equipped with F 16 Falcons and F 15 Eagles and the M1 Abrams main battle tanks of the Saudi Army were no match for Yemeni tribesmen armed with AK 47s and RPGs and wearing standard issue sarongs and flip flops.  Never mess with the Yemenis, the Vietnamese and the Afghans.  

The Saudis got help from the UAE, Qatar and Sudan.  Yesterday Thursday June 16th 2016 the UAE government made a formal announcement that they were pulling out of the war. 

This leaves the Saudis in quite a situation because the UAE was a major ally in the aggression against Yemen.  With the UAE's capitulation, the Yemenis may invade more Saudi territory all the way to Riyadh.

There is no happy ending in sight for the Saudis.  If Donald Trump wins in November the US may turn away from the Saudis entirely.

If Hillary wins, there will be no big difference. The Houthis may still kick Saudi ass.

My view is Yemen is a great bargaining chip by Iran over the entire Middle East. Iran now controls Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and has strong influence in Bahrain. 

I believe the liberation of Fallujah and Mosul (Iraq),  the liberation of Raqqa and Aleppo (Syria) and the Houthi rebellion in Yemen are all part of the equation.  The new Iranian president Rouhani seems to be quite the clever fellow.
