Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii today listed out what he says is evidence of DAP's "disrespect" of Malays.
This after 13 Malay DAP members issued a joint statement rebutting his claim, and accused Umno of treating Malays like "chicken".
Razlan's list includes DAP MPs attending Oktoberfest, which he said is "not Malaysian culture", and opposing amendments to Act 355, which could pave the way for the hudud.
He also cited DAP's Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming's alleged online Hari Raya Aidilfitri greeting, which had the United States flag in the background and the words 'In God We Trust' alleged to be "Christian prayer".
The posting on Nga's unofficial Facebook fan page on Hari Raya eve on July 5 also had the words 'Lord, guide our nation back to you'.
Other instances of "DAP disrespect" cited by Razlan was former DAP grassroots leader Hew Kuan Yau's calling supporters to "screw Malays".
"What does he mean?" Razlan said.
Hew, who quit the party following public pressure, said this in a speech while campaigning in the Sarawak election but defended it as not racist as he was referring to the corrupt.
Razlan also claimed DAP "slaughtered five pigs in Penang to celebrate DAP's victory as the dominant party in Pakatan Rakyat after the 13th general election".
He also alleged that DAP lobbied for the Perak Menteri Besar post, and was forced to recruit Malays like Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, its candidate for Teluk Intan, when it realised only a Malay can be MB.
"Are all these untrue and mere slander? The 13 Malay DAP lackeys, please reply and elaborate," he said.
Razlan said DAP influence in DAP-led Penang and PKR-led Selangor has seen residents sidelined according to race.
'No ethnic balance'
"We can see that there is hardly any representative from other races in the local government in Selangor, with spots taken by DAP representatives who are not on the ground. In Penang, there is almost no other race," he said.
He did not specify which ethnicity has dominated the local government but DAP has been repeatedly accused by Umno of being a "Chinese party".
He said DAP fields only a handful non-Chinese candidates in elections because "they do not accept ethnicity matters in the country".
"So to these new DAP members, please read up and understand DAP's ideology," he said. - Mkini
