Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he does not have any problem with PKR president Anwar Ibrahim but added he does not know if the feeling is mutual.
Mahathir also said that he was not eyeing to become prime minister again but nevertheless would take up the job temporarily if asked to do so.
Asked further about his relationship with Anwar, Mahathir replied: " As far as I am concerned I have no problem with Anwar."
"Maybe he has a problem with me, that I don't know, you have to ask him," he said at a press conference in Putrajaya today.
Yesterday, Anwar and PKR were again absent from a meeting between Mahathir, Warisan, and Pakatan Harapan yesterday.
Harapan, Mahathir and Warisan claim to be on the cusp of seizing back Putrajaya from Perikatan Nasional but it is believed that who will be prime minister - Mahathir or Anwar - continues to be a sticky point.
When asked if he was going to be the prime minister candidate again, Mahathir said that he was not offering himself for the job.
"I'm not offering myself, but I look upon things as a duty [...] I'm not interested in my personal wellbeing but if I can be of service and people think I can be of service, I am available.
"But not for long. I am already 94, how many more months do I have?" he posed.
